Polyhexamethylene guanidines
Polyhexamethylene guanidines (PHMGs) are promising biocidal substances with a successful combination of biocidal, toxicological, and physicochemical properties. The most common salt of polyhexamethylene guanidine, hydrochloride, is synthesized from hexamethylenediamine and guanidine hydrochloride. The preparation of other salts, as a rule, is carried out from PHMG-hydrochloride, by the method of exchange through the PHMG-base.
